– First Molecular Test: WHO has approved the first molecular diagnostic test/RT-PCR for its diagnosis, which identifies the virus’s genetic material in blood samples and provides rapid results.
– Emergency Use Listing (EUL): It is a WHO risk-based procedure aimed at accelerating the availability of unlicensed vaccines, medicines, and in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs) during a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).
