– As soon as information is received, the states take immediate action to extinguish the fire.
– According to some news reports, on the morning of April 24, fires were raging in 62 forest areas across 13 states of the country from north to south.
– Among them, fires were most prevalent in 30 locations in Uttarakhand.
– After that, fires were reported in 8 locations in Andhra Pradesh, 6 locations in Bihar, 3 locations in Jharkhand, and fires were also reported in other locations.

Why Does Uttarakhand Burn Every Year?
– The cause of forest fires in Uttarakhand is attributed to the fire season.
– This season can last from February 15 to June 15.
– The main three reasons for fires are first, fuel, second, oxygen, and third, heat.

4- Atmospheric Effects: Forest fires can have atmospheric effects such as increased haze and smoke hindering air traffic, rise in atmospheric temperature, and changes in levels of atmospheric gases.
5- Loss of Water Sources: Forest fires can damage water sources, leading to increased pollution in rivers and lakes.

What are the allegations against Patanjali? (Why is there discussion?)
– The Indian Medical Association (IMA) filed a petition in the Supreme Court in August 2022 when Patanjali published an advertisement titled “Misconceptions Spread by Allopathy: Save Yourself and the Country from Misconceptions Spread by the Pharma and Medical Industry.”
– The petition described other instances where Ramdev referred to allopathy as “foolish and insane science.”
