Educational Qualification

Deputy Secretary (General-Admin.)
Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Language with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and seven years of experience as Assistant Director, Assistant Secretary, Administrative Officer, Assistant Registrar or equivalent post in Pay Level 10 and above.
Alternatively, candidates may have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Public Administration from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and seven years of relevant experience.
Candidates should also have demonstrable experience in organizing literary activities, programmes, seminars, conferences, festivals or other literary and cultural events at institutional, regional or national level.

Assistant Editor
Candidates should have a postgraduate degree from a recognized University in a language/literature recognized by Sahitya Akademi.
Candidates should have good knowledge of English/Hindi and one or more Indian languages of the concerned region. Five years of experience in copy editing literary and scholarly manuscripts is required. Basic knowledge of computer applications is also required.

Senior Library & Information Assistant
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science and five years of experience in a library of standing.
Good knowledge of computer applications in a library is required. A Master of Library Science is desirable.

Junior Translation Officer
Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualification involving Hindi and English as main subjects or Hindi/English as the medium and relevant language qualifications.
Candidates should also have three years of experience in literary translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government, including autonomous organizations.

Technical Assistant
Candidates should have a Graduate or equivalent qualification, Diploma in Book Publishing and five years of experience in a printing press, publishing house or Government undertaking concerned with book publication.
Knowledge of printing and book publication processes and basic knowledge of computer applications are also required.

Programme Assistant
Candidates should have a Graduate or equivalent qualification from a recognized University and five years of experience in a literary, academic or Government organization or publishing house concerned with book publication.
The candidate should be able to organize meetings and conferences and handle literary material.

Publication Assistant
Candidates should have a Graduate or equivalent qualification and either a Diploma in Printing or five years of experience in a printing press, publishing house or Government undertaking concerned with book publication.
Knowledge of printing and book publication processes and basic computer knowledge are required.

Proof Reader Cum General Assistant
Candidates should have a Graduate or equivalent qualification from a recognized University with Hindi/English as a subject.
Candidates should have the ability to read proofs in English/Hindi, proficiency in English/Hindi and basic knowledge of computer applications.

Stenographer Grade II
Candidates should have 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution.
Candidates should have shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and good typing speed in English/Hindi. Knowledge of computer applications is also required.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a qualifying stenography skill test.

Messenger Cum Rider
Candidates should have 10+2 from a recognized Board or institution.
A valid motor driving licence for two-wheelers/car with three years of experience and knowledge of motor mechanics are required.

Van Driver
Candidates should have 10th or 10+2 qualification from a recognized Board or institute.
Candidates should possess a valid motor driving licence for light and heavy vehicles, knowledge of minor automobile repairs and three years of motor driving experience.

Junior Clerk
Candidates should have 10+2 from a recognized board or institution.
Candidates must have a net typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi and knowledge of computer applications.
Graduation from a recognized University is desirable.

Multi-Tasking Staff
Candidates should have 10th/10+2 from a recognized board or institution or ITI equivalent.
Candidates should have multi-skilling ability and basic knowledge of computer applications.
Knowledge of at least two languages and knowledge of cycling and various localities are desirable.

Age Limit
The maximum age limit prescribed for the advertised posts is 50 years.
Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

The salary / pay scale varies according to the post and Pay Level.
Level-11: Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700

Selection Process
The selection process varies according to the post.
Selection may include:
1. Written Examination
2. Skill Test
3. Typing Test
4. Stenography Test
5. Driving Skill Test
6. Interview

For several posts, the written examination will consist of 100 marks.
Part-I will be an objective-type examination of 50 marks for posts where the 50-mark pattern is prescribed. It includes questions from General Studies/General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Computer and Quantitative Aptitude.
Part-II will be a descriptive examination of 50 marks based on the subject related to the concerned post.
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.

There will be no negative marking in the objective section as specified in the recruitment notice.
For Messenger Cum Rider, Van Driver, Junior Clerk and Multi-Tasking Staff, the written examination pattern includes 60 marks objective questions and 40 marks descriptive questions.
