Eligibility

Technical Assistant: First Class Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.

Technician ‘B’: 10th/SSLC/SSC/Matric pass + ITI in the relevant trade with NTC from NCVT or NAC from NCVT.

Cook ‘A’: 10th/SSLC/SSC/Matric pass + 5 years’ experience as Cook in a well-established hotel/canteen.

Fireman ‘A’: 10th/SSLC/SSC/Matric pass + prescribed Physical Fitness Standards + Preliminary Medical Examination Certificate.

Age Limit

Technical Assistant, Technician ‘B’ & Cook ‘A’: 18–35 Years

Fireman ‘A’: 18–25 Years

Age as on: 05 October 2026

SC/ST relaxation: 5 years; OBC relaxation: 3 years, where applicable. Other eligible categories are as per Government of India rules.

Salary

Technical Assistant: Level-7 – ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400

Technician ‘B’: Level-3 – ₹21,700 to ₹69,100

Cook ‘A’: Level-2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200

Fireman ‘A’: Level-2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200

Other applicable allowances and benefits are provided as per rules.

Application Fee

Technical Assistant (Post Codes 60–62): ₹750

Technician ‘B’, Cook ‘A’ & Fireman ‘A’: ₹500

Fee is payable online. Refund is applicable to eligible candidates who appear in the written test, subject to the notification’s conditions.

Selection Process

Technical Assistant / Technician ‘B’ / Cook ‘A’: Written Test + Skill Test.

Fireman ‘A’: Written Test + Physical Efficiency Test + Detailed Medical Examination.

Final selection is based on Written Test marks; Skill Test is qualifying on a GO/NO-GO basis.

Exam Pattern

Technical Assistant & Technician ‘B’: 80 MCQs, 90 minutes, +1 for correct answer and -0.33 for wrong answer.

Cook ‘A’ & Fireman ‘A’: 100 MCQs, 120 minutes, +1 for correct answer and -0.25 for wrong answer.

Syllabus

Technical Assistant & Technician ‘B’: Based on the academic curriculum of the prescribed educational qualification.

Cook ‘A’: Cooking knowledge, kitchen equipment, General Knowledge, General English and Arithmetic at SSLC/Matriculation level.

Fireman ‘A’: Basic chemistry related to flammable liquids and gases, LPG properties, pressure/volume/temperature, basic mensuration, properties of water and gases, electricity and hazards, Class X arithmetic, Basic English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

Physical Test

For Fireman ‘A’: 1500 metres run for male candidates / 800 metres for female and transgender candidates, rope climbing, carrying a human dummy, long jump and 100 metres run. All prescribed events must be qualified.
