Total 131 vacancies: 46 Unreserved, 13 EWS, 45 SEBC, 16 SC and 11 ST. Horizontal reservation provisions are also applicable as mentioned in the notification.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess either B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized university/institution recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council, or a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council. Candidates must also have basic computer knowledge and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Gujarat Nursing Council registration is required at the time of appointment if not already registered.
Age Limit & Relaxation
Minimum Age: 18 years. Maximum Age: 35 years as on 12 October 2026. Age relaxation is available as per Gujarat Government rules. The notification specifies relaxations for women, reserved categories, PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
Salary
First 5 years: Fixed pay of ₹40,800 per month. After 5 years, subject to the notification conditions and satisfactory service: Pay Level-5, ₹29,200–₹92,300.

Paper I: Fundamental of Nursing 20; Medical Surgical Nursing 20; Midwifery & Pediatric Nursing 20; Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing 20; Community Health Nursing 20.
Paper II: Language 30; Grammar 40; Literature 30.
Negative marking: 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Minimum 40% is required in each paper. Both papers are compulsory. Merit is based on the combined marks of both papers.
Paper I can be attempted in Gujarati or English. Paper II is only in Gujarati.
