– For the first time, a naval exercise between India and ASEAN was held from 2nd to 8th May at the Changi Naval Base in Singapore in the South China Sea.
– Indian Navy ships INS Satpura and INS Delhi participated in this maritime exercise.
– During this, China’s surveillance vessel, Shi Yang Hong 10, which is used for monitoring, entered the area around them.
– In addition to the surveillance vessel, 8 ships of China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy were present with it.

Why China was monitoring
– It is believed that China wanted to disturb the military drill during its maritime exercises.
– During the military drill, China entered Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone.
– It was only 80 kilometers away from Indian and other countries’ warships, but the ships did not do anything.
Indian ship turned off tracking system
– When the Chinese surveillance ship approached the area of the military drill, Indian and ASEAN countries’ ships turned off their Automatic Identification System (AIS) so that they could not be detected.
– Actually, AIS is a tracking system that provides information about other ships in the vicinity.
– It reflects other vessels on the screen of the ship.
– According to sources in the Indian Navy, the Chinese ship did not come closer to the military drill.
– Therefore, no alert was issued. However, its activities in the area are being monitored.
China monitoring in the Indian Ocean
– In November 2022, China sent a spy ship to track the Agni missile.
– Foreign ships, including warships, can pass through the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) with permission.
– However, Indian law prohibits foreign ships from conducting military activities without permission.
– The Chinese ship was reportedly outside the Indian EEZ but was monitoring the missile test.
Why is China invading the Indian Ocean?
– China wants to keep an eye on India’s missiles.
– China is trying to establish its dominance in the Indian Ocean with the help of its strategic ships.

– Imran’s party, PTI, said that Imran Khan has been kidnapped.
– While the Pakistani government says that Imran Khan has been arrested in the Al-Kadir University scam case.
– After this, violence erupted in most parts of Pakistan. People attacked the army headquarters in Rawalpindi.
– Supporters of PTI set fire to the house of a military commander in Lahore late at night. Several other military officers’ houses were also attacked.

The internet has been shut down across the country.
It is clear that such instability is dangerous when the country is struggling with an economic crisis.
Why was the arrest made?
– According to the Islamabad police, former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
– NAB is an independent and constitutional organization in the country for the apprehension and prosecution of corruption and economic crimes.
Arrest was already suspected
– Actually, when Imran Khan was leaving for court in the morning, he issued a statement saying that attempts were being made to arrest him in one or the other case. There has been an attempt to find out.
– He was ousted from power in April 2022. Since then, he has been continuously demanding for elections.
– There was a conflict going on with the army.
– The army was targeting Imran Khan, he kept talking about the army, so now he has also been arrested. – He said the army wanted to kill him.
– After this, the arrest was seen.
– There are 108 cases registered against Imran Khan. – These include cases of anonymous foreign funding for the party, toshakhana case (keeping money obtained from gifts given by foreign guests for sale) and other cases.
Pakistan is in a state of lawlessness.

– When Imran was ousted from power, he also said that it was the military who did it.
