UPSC CAPF Exam Recruitment 270 Assistant Commandant Posts: – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification for conducting Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2016 for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) viz. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Eligible candidates may apply online from 12 March 2016 to 08 April 2016. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, selection process and how to apply are given below.

Qualification: – Candidates should have passed Bachelors Degree in any discipline from recognized university or institute.
Age limit: – A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 01 August 2016.
Age relaxation: – The upper age limit relax able up to 03 years for O.B.C. and 05 years for SC, ST categories candidates as per government rules.
Pay scale: – Rs 15600-39100 plus grade pay 5400 per month.
Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, physical standard test, physical efficiency test, medical test and interview.
Physical standards test (PST):-
Height – 165 centimeter for male candidates (157 centimeter for female candidates).
Chest – 81-86 centimeter for male candidates (Not applicable for female candidates).
Weight – 50 kilograms for male candidates (46 Kilograms for female candidates).
Physical efficiency test (PET):-
100 Meter race – 16 seconds for male candidates (18 seconds for female candidates).
800 Meter race – 3 minute 45 seconds for male candidates (4 minute 45 seconds for female candidates).
Long Jump – 3.5 meters in 3 chances for male candidates (3.0 meters in 3 chances for female candidates).
Shot Put (7.26 kilograms) – 4.5 Meters for male candidates (Not applicable for female candidates).
Application fee: – Candidates pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 200 by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of S.B.I., State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur or State Bank of Hyderabad or State Bank of Mysore or State Bank of Patiala or State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa or Master Credit or Debit Card.
SC, ST and female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Scheme of written examination: – The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will comprise two papers: (Paper I – 2 Hours duration and Paper-II- 3 Hours duration)
Paper-I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 marks.
This paper will be of Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions) in which the questions will be set in English as well as Hindi.
Paper-II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 marks.
In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Précis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/Language Skills will be English only.
Exam date: – The Union Public Service Commission will hold a written examination on 26 June 2016.
