TNPSC CCS Exam – Combined Civil Service-I Exam: – Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 85 vacancies through combined civil service exam. The posts are Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent Police, Assistant Commissioner and another various vacancies.

Eligible candidates can apply online application for TNPSC Combined Civil Service Exam from 09 November 2016 to 08 December 2016. The preliminary examination will be held on 19 February 2017.

Total Vacancy: – 85 posts.
Name of exam: – Combined Civil Service Exam (CCS-I Examination) Group-I Services.

1) Deputy Collector (Tamil Nadu Civil Service) – 29 posts.
2) Deputy Superintendent Police (Tamil Nadu Police Service) – 34 posts.
3) Assistant Commissioner (Tamil Nadu Commercial Taxes Service) – 08 posts.
4) District Registrar (Tamil Nadu Registration Service) – 01 post.
5) District Employment Officer (Tamil Nadu General Service) – 05 posts.
6) District Officer (Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service) – 08 posts.

TNPSC CCS Exam Eligibility Criteria: –

Eligibility: – Candidates should have bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.

TNPSC Combined Civil Service Exam

Pay scale: – Rs 15600-39100 plus grade pay 5400 per month.

Age limit: – The age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and should not be more than 31 years as on 01 of July 2016.

Age relaxation: – The upper age limit is relaxable 05 years for SC, ST, MBC, BCM and DW category candidates as per government rules.

Application fee for TNPSC Combined Civil Service Exam: – The application fee details are given below-

  • Registration fee – Rs 50 only.
  • Preliminary examination fee – Rs 75 only.
  • Main written examination fee – Rs 125 only.

SC, ST and differently abled person candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

TNPSC Combined Civil Service Exam Selection Process: –

Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of preliminary examination, main written examination and oral test. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates at the written examination and oral test.

Exam date: – The preliminary examination will be held on 19 February 2017.
