1) Junior Scientist Officer:-
Eligibility: –
Candidates should have passed Master Degree in Chemistry or Soil Science or Environmental Science or Microbiology with 60% marks from recognized university or institute.
Pay scale: – Rs 9300-34800 plus grade pay 4800 per month.

2) Junior Environmental Engineer:-
Eligibility: –
Candidates should have passed Master Degree in Environmental Engineering from recognized university or institute.
OR Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology/ Chemical/ Civil/ Mining/ Environmental/ Textile Engineering with 60% marks from recognized university or institute.
Pay scale: – Rs 9300-34800 plus grade pay 3600 per month.

Age limit: – Candidates should be between 18 to 35 years as on 01 January 2017.
Age relaxation: – The upper age limit relaxable up to 05 years for O.B.C./ S.B.C./ SC/ ST (male) and 10 years for O.B.C./ S.B.C./ SC/ ST (male) candidates as per government rules.

Application fee: – Candidates pay non refundable application fee of Rs 700 by through online mode using debit card or credit card or net banking.
O.B.C., Special BC candidates of Rajasthan are pay application fee of Rs 600 only.
SC, ST candidates of Rajasthan are pay application fee of Rs 500 only.

Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination. There will be one paper consisting of two parts having multiple choice type questions. There will be total 150 numbers of questions of 2 marks each. The question paper will be in English.

  • PART-A Environmental Science/ Engineering – 120 questions.
  • PART-B General Knowledge – 30 questions.

Examination date: – The written examination will be held on 16 October 2016 (10 AM to 1 PM).

How to apply: – Candidates apply application only online mode by through the website http://environment.rajasthan.gov.in/ from 18 July 2016 to 17 August 2016.

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (R.S.P.C.B.) was constituted under section 4 of the Water Act, 1974 on 7th February 1975, with the objectives of prevention, and control of water pollution and maintaining or restoring of wholesomeness of water. Later, it was also entrusted with the responsibilities of prevention, control and abatement of Air Pollution under the provisions of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Cess Act, 1977 has been enacted to make the State Board financially independent. Under this act the State Board has been given powers to collect Cess on the basis of water consumed by the industries etc.
