RBI Assistant Vacancy: – Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a notification dated 07 November 2016 for inducting 610 Assistants. The RBI Assistant Recruitment 2016 will take place for 610 vacancies. Aspirants can apply online till 28 November 2016. Reserve Bank of India will select 610 Assistants on the basis of a series of two online competitive examinations (Prelims & Mains Test) followed by an interview.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria: –
Eligibility: – Candidate of RBI Assistant Recruitment should have passed at least a bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate from a recognized university or institute. Applicant should also have the knowledge of word processing on PC for RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria.
Pay scale: – Selected candidates will get a starting basic pay of Rs 14650 per month and other allowances like DA, HRA, CCA, TA as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately Rs 32124 per month.
Age limit: – Age of the applicant should be between 20 years and 28 years as on 07 November 2016. The candidate should be born between 07 November 1988 and 08 November 1996 for RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria.

Application fee: – Applicants have to pay examination fee & intimation charges as follows.
- Rs 450 for General and OBC candidates.

Mode of payment: – Candidates can pay the application fee for RBI Assistant Vacancy through credit card, debit card, net banking and other online modes of payment.
RBI Assistant Selection Process: –
Applicants will have to go through a three tier RBI Assistant Selection Process explained as follows.
1) Preliminary examination: – This test would be a qualifying exam containing 100 questions each carrying one mark. Time duration of test would be 60 minutes. It will have questions from English Language, Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude. Those scoring above sectional and overall cutoff will get to write the main exam of RBI Assistant Selection Process.
2) Main examination: – The main exam will have 200 questions of one mark each. Time duration of exam will be 120 minutes. It will have questions from Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge.
3) Interview: – The final stage of RBI Assistant Selection Process is the interview. It will carry 35 marks. Only successful candidates of main exam will be called for the interview.
Marks of main exam and interview will be counted for the preparation of the final merit list.
Centre of examination: – Preliminary and main exam of RBI Assistant will be conducted across a number of cities and venues in India. The tentative list of the same has been given in the Annexure III in the advertisement. Respective exam centers of candidates will be intimidated later on their mobile or email-id.
