The Reserve Bank of India has notified to recruit eligible candidates for 610 posts of Assistant in various offices of the Bank (Check here). Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination. It will comprise of prelims, mains & interview. RBI Assistant Eligibility: –
There are various themes in the RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria. However we have classified them into three important categories as explained below. So read on to know about the latest RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016 before applying for the same.
RBI Assistant Age Limit: –
The most important & fundamental point to apply for this exam is RBI Assistant Age Limit. Applicant must have attained the age of 20 years but should not be more than 28 years old. The date of consideration for candidate’s DOB is 07 November 2016. So your date of birth should be in between 08 November 1988 and 07 November 1996.
However there is a range of relaxation applicable to a few categories as below.

|5||Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1 January 1980 to 31 December 1989||5 years|
|6||Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married||10 years|
|7||Candidates having work experience in Reserve Bank of India||To the extent of number of years of such experience subject to maximum of 3 years.|
Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be available either under the above items or in combination with any other items.
Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of interview.
RBI Assistant Educational Qualification: –
The candidate must possess a graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 50% exams from a recognized university or institute. However for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates pass class is enough. The candidate must possess valid mark sheet or degree certificate indicating the date of passing and percentage of marks. The educational qualification should have been attained before 07 November 2016.
Further the candidate should have the knowledge of word processing on PC.
Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language of the state(s) falling under the recruiting office. They should be able to read, write and speak in that language.
The percentage should be indicated two places after decimal. In case of CGPA the candidate must have the corresponding percentage too. Moreover no work experience is required for RBI Assistant Eligibility.
Application Fee: –
Candidates have to pay examination fee plus intimation charges as follows.
1) Rs 50 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
2) Rs 450 for all others.
