NER Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:-
Eligibility: – Candidates should have passed 12th class with 50% marks from recognized board.
OR Must have qualified ITI diploma/ Act Apprenticeship from recognized institute.
Pay scale: – Rs 5200-20200 plus grade pay 1900 per month.
Eligibility: – Candidates should have passed 10th class or equivalent from recognized board.
Pay scale: – Rs 5200-20200 plus grade pay 1800 per month.
Age limit: – Candidates should be between 18 to 32 years as on 01 January 2017.
Age relaxation: – The upper age limit relaxable up to 03 years for OBC, 05 years for SC, ST and 10 years for PWD categories candidates as per government rules.
North Eastern Railway Recruitment: Scouting/ guiding qualification: –
- A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
- Should have been active member of Scouts Organization for the last five years.
- Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railways Level And two events at State Level.
Application fee: – Candidates pay a non refundable application fee of Rs 500 by through Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of Senior Personnel Officer, RRC, NE Railway, payable at Gorakhpur.
For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women, Ex-Servicemen, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and those belonging to economically backward classes are pay application fee of Rs 250 only.
NER Recruitment Selection Process:-
Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, Scouting Skill Assessment and Marks on certificates.
- Written Examination – 50 marks.
- Scouting Skill Assessment – 10 marks.
- Marks on certificates – 40 marks.

About North Eastern Railway Recruitment (NER).
The North Eastern Railway was formed on 14th April 1952 by combining two Railway systems (Oudh and Tirhut Railway and Assam Railway) and Cawnpore-Achnera section of the BB&CIR. It was bifurcated into two Railway Zones on 15th Jan. 1958 – North Eastern Railway and North East Frontier Railway. The present N. E. Railway (NER), after re-organization of Railway Zones in 2002, comprises of three Divisions – Varanasi, Lucknow & Izatnagar.
