Name of post: – Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in following Cadres for course commencing Jun 2017 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala.
Indian Navy Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:-
Age limit: –
- For PC Education Branch – 21 to 25 years, born between 02 July 1992 and 01 July 1996 (both dates inclusive).
- For SSC Logistics Branch – 19 ½ to 25 years, born between 02 July 1992 and 02 January 1998 (both dates inclusive).
Pay scale: – The CTC for a sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs 74,100 to 90,600 per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, Flying Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport allowance.
(A) Height – Minimum 157 centimeter for male and 152 centimeter for female candidates with correlated weight as per age and height.
(B) Eye sight – The minimum acceptable vision standards for distance is 6/6, 6/12 correctable to 6/60, 6/60 with glass. Should not be colour / night blind.
(C) Tattoo – Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body, however, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas communities as declared by the Government of India.
Short service commission: – Candidates inducted under Short Service Commission will be granted the commission initially for 12 years extendable further for two years.
Training: – Training is scheduled to commence in Jun 2017 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo Naval Orientation Course at Indian Naval Academy followed by professional training at various Naval Training Establishments/ Units/ Ships. Full Pay and allowances are admissible to the Officers whilst undergoing training.
Indian Navy Vacancy Selection Process:-
Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification. The total duration of SSB interviews is five days consisting of stage-I (Day one) and stage-II (Four days).
Stage-I Tests – Consist of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Group Discussion Tests. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be sent back on the same day from SSB Centre.
Stage-II Tests – Consists of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests and Interview. Successful candidates will undergo medicals examination (approx 3-5 days).
Date of SSB Interview: – SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled from December 16 to March 17 at Bangalore, Bhopal, Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam.
