Indian Navy Cadet Entry Scheme Eligibility Criteria:-

Eligibility Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Examination (12th Standard) or its equivalent with 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in English from recognized board.

Age limit – 17 to 19½ years {i.e. born between 02 Jul 1997 & 01 Jan 2000 (both dates inclusive)}.
Pay scale: – The CTC for a sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs 74,100 per month.

Physical standards test:-

  • Height and Weight – Minimum height 157 centimeter with correlated weight as per age.
  • Eye Sight – The minimum acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/ night blind.

Training: – The training is scheduled to commence in Jan 2017. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B. Tech course in applied Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.

During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialization or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

Indian Navy Cadet Entry Scheme Selection Process: –

Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of SSB interviews for short listed candidates. SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages-

Stage I test consists of Intelligence test, Picture Perception test and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day.

Stage II tests comprises Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).

Interview center: – SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam during Aug – Oct 16.

How to apply: – Candidates apply application only online mode by though the website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in from 20 June 2016 to 10 July 2016.

Candidates may also send printout of online application along with self attested photo copies of relevant documents to Post Box No. 04, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi –110 011, till date 20 July 2016.
