Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment: –
[table “” not found /]Age Relaxation: – Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
Application fee: – Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI.
Selection Process: – As per candidate’s performance in Preliminary Selection (Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test) & Final Selection (Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test).
Physical Standard: –
Height: –
- Asst Commandant (GD)/(Tech) and Law: – 157 cms Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. regulations.
- Asst Commandant (CPL-SSA) (Men/Women): – Minimum 162.5 cms and maximum 197 cms, leg length minimum 99 cms.
- Asst Commandant–Women (GD/Law): – Height Minimum 152 cms.
Weight: – Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.
Chest: – Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.
Tattoo: – Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body. However, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas/communities as declared by the Govt. of India. For other candidate’s permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Physical Standard (Only for Fireman Post): – The physical fitness shall be tested as per the following physical standards-
(i) Height without shoes – 165 Cms. provided that a concession of 2.5 Cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes and candidates of hilly areas.
(ii) Chest (unexpanded) – 81.5 Cms.
(iii) Chest (on expansion) – 85 Cms.
(iv) Weight – 50 Kg (Min).
(v) Endurance Test:
- Carrying a man weighing 63.5 Kgs by fireman lift up to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
- Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch by landing on both feet (long jump).
- Climbing 3 meters vertical rope by hands and feet
