Selected candidates will have to firstly go through a PGDBF course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB), which has been set up jointly by Indian Bank and Manipal Global Education.

Indian Bank Recruitment Eligibility Criteria: –
Eligibility: – Applying candidate should have passed a graduation degree (as on 01 January 2016) examination in any discipline from a recognized university or institute. Moreover at least 60% marks are required in the qualifying degree. For SC/ ST/ PWD the minimum marks are 55%.
Age limit: – Candidates should be aged between 20 years and 28 years as on 01 January 2016.
Age relaxation: – There is relaxation in age for reserved category as per following criteria.
- SC/ ST – 05 years.
- OBC (Non Creamy Layer) – 03 years.
- Ex-servicemen – 05 years.
- Kashmir domicile between 02 January 1980 and 31 December 1989 – 05 years.
- Affected by 1984 riots – 05 years.
- PWD candidates.
- SC/ ST – 15 years.
- OBC – 13 years.
- General – 10 years.
Pay scale: – The selected candidates will be placed in the JMG-I scale after the prescribed course and training. Further they will be entitled to get the salary and other perks as applicable to JMG Scale-I in the Indian Bank.
Indian Bank Recruitment Selection Process: –
Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of online competitive exams and interview. The initial test will be preliminary exam and only candidates qualifying the same will get a chance to write main examination. Only main exam marks will be used to short-list candidates for interview and for making final merit list. The exam pattern is as follows.

Moreover there will be a descriptive type test of 50 marks and 30 minutes. It will have 02 questions.
Finally interview of 100 marks will take place. Combined merit list with main marks and interview will be prepared in the ratio 80:20.
Selected candidates have to undergo a one year course and training, the details of which are given in the notification.
Examination Centers: – Preliminary exam will be conducted in about 115 cities in various states and UTs across India. For details see notification.
Application fee: – Candidates have to pay a non refundable fee of Rs 600 as examination and intimation fee (for SC/ ST/ PWD the fee is Rs 100).
Selected candidates have to further pay Rs 3,50,000 as the program fee. See details in the notification

- Should have served in ‘FIGHTING ARMS’ in the Indian Army or equivalent in Indian Navy or Indian Air Force.

Selection process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and physical fitness test.
Physical fitness test: – Test will comprise of 5 meter shuttle, Push ups and Sit ups. (Minimum Qualifying Standards-5 meter shuttle 11 times in a minute, 13 Push ups, 20 Sit ups).
Written test – Objective type (in English): – Test will be on General Knowledge, Simple Arithmetic and Reasoning, Knowledge in security aspects and Basics of Banking.
Those who qualify in Physical fitness test alone will be allowed to appear for the Written Test.
