Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army Recruitment:-
For SSC (Tech) Men & Women: – Engineering Degree in any discipline from any recognized institution.
For SSCW (Non Tech):- Graduate in any discipline from any recognized university.
Salary: – Rs. 56100 per month.
Age Limit:- Minimum and Maximum age limit is 20 to 27 years for SSC (T) Men, SSC (T) Women candidates & 35 years for Widows for SSCW (Non Tech) as on 01 April 2019.
Training:- Duration of training is 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai, on successful completion of which Candidates will be granted commission in the rank of Lt. Candidates will not be allowed to live with parents / guardian. Candidates must not marry until they complete the full training at OTA.
Selection Process: – Their performance in Medical examination, physical standard and SSB Interview.
Physical Standard:- The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157 .5 ems with correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 ems and weight commensurate with reduced height.
Aadhar Card:- All candidates recommended to join the Training Academy are required to have their Aadhar card prior to joining training. Candidates are therefore advised to obtain their Aadhar Card at the earliest.
