IBPS SO Eligibility: –
There are various themes in the IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria. However we have classified them into three important categories as explained below. So read on to know about IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria 2016 before applying for the same.
The most basic but least bothered point about IBPS Specialist Officer Eligibility Criteria is Nationality or Citizenship. For IBPS SO Eligibility the applicant must be of an Indian identity. A candidate must be either a Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Moreover it may be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. However in that case they must have a certificate from the Government of India.
IBPS SO Age Limit: –
The next fundamental point is IBPS SO Age Limit. The applicant must have attained the age of 20 years but should not be more than 30 years old. The date of consideration of the date of birth is 02 December of the year in which exam is conducted. For IBPS SO exam 2016 it is 02 December 2016. So your date of birth should be in between 03 December 1986 and 01 December 1996.
However there is a range of relaxation applicable to a few categories as below.

IBPS SO Educational Qualification: –
The candidate must possess a graduation degree in the relevant discipline (as given in the table below) from a recognized university or institute. Post graduation may be required in some streams. The candidate must possess valid mark sheet or degree certificate indicating the date of passing and percentage of marks. The educational qualification should have been attained before 02 December 2016.

The percentage should be indicated two places after decimal. In case of CGPA the candidate must have the corresponding percentage too. No work experience is required for IBPS SO Eligibility.
Application Fee: –
Candidates have to pay examination fee plus intimation charges as follows.
1) Rs 100 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
2) Rs 600 for all others.
