Qualification: – 8th classes passed or equivalent from recognized board.
Pay Scale: – Rs. 5910-20200 + Grade pay 1900/- per month
Age limit: – Between 18-35 years as on 01st September-2015.
Height- 5’-4” for candidates of all categories
Chest- 29” x 30” for candidates of all categories
Application fee: – Candidates pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 120/- for General categories candidates by Bank Draft/ Indian postal order (IPO) drawn in favour of HP Police Recruitment Board Shimla-171002.
SC/ ST/ OBC/ IRDP categories candidates pay application fee only of Rs. 30/-
Selection Process: – Candidates will be selected on the basis of educational qualification, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Personality Test/ Personal Interview.

About Himachal Pradesh Police
Himachal Pradesh as political entity came into existence on 15th April, 1948. It was constituted by integrating the princely States of Chamba, Mandi, Suket, Sirmaur and 26 smaller states known as the Punjab Hill States. Subsequently, in 1954 Bilaspur, which was then a part “C” State, was also merged with Himachal Pradesh. In 1960 District Kinnaur was carved out of District Mahsu which was earlier constituted by merging 27 hill states.
