“Ministry of Home Affairs Announces Massive Recruitment Drive for 1.30 Lakh CRPF Constable Posts”
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will conduct a recruitment drive for 1.30 lakh (1,29,929) constables, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday, April 5. This announcement comes as good news for all those who are seeking government jobs in the police force.

CRPF CONSTABLE RECRUITMEN 2023: VACANCY DETAILS
A total of 1,29,929 positions will be filled by the CRPF, out of which 1,25,262 are reserved for male candidates, and 4,667 are reserved for female candidates, the ministry said.
AGE LIMIT
The minimum age limit is 18 years while the maximum age requirement is 23 years. Whereas, five years of age relaxation has been given in the case of Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) and three years in the case of Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.
AGE RELAXATION
The upper age limit shall be relaxable upto five years for the candidates of the first batch of Ex-Agniveers. And the upper age limit shall be relaxable upto three years for the candidates of Ex-Agniveers. Ex-Agniveers shall be exempted from Physical Efficiency Test (PET), it reads. Additionally, 10 per cent positions have been reserved for ex-Agniveers for recruitment to the post of constable.
SALARY DETAILS: –
The total number of vacancies falls in the level-3 pay matrix with a pay scale of Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. Selected candidates will have to undergo a probation period of 2 years. The vacancies are categorised under the General Central Service (GCS), Group ‘C’, and Non-Gazetted, (Non-Ministerial Combatant).
NOTE: The recruitment process for the constable posts in the CRPF will begin soon, and candidates can start preparing for the same. The selection process will consist of a written examination, physical test, and medical examination. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for the posts online.
