6. Budget allocation for economic projects in Uttar Pradesh (2025-26)

Four New Expressways to be Built in Uttar Pradesh:
1. A controlled greenfield expressway from Agra-Lucknow Expressway to Ganga Expressway via Kausia, Hardoi district, and Farrukhabad will be constructed, with a proposed allocation of ₹900 crore.
2. ₹50 crore has been proposed for the construction of the Vindhya Expressway to connect Ganga Expressway from Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chandauli to Sonbhadra.
3. A proposed extension of the Ganga Expressway will connect Meerut to Haridwar, with ₹50 crore allocated for the construction.
4. A proposal has been made for the construction of the Bundelkhand-Rewa Expressway, with ₹50 crore allocated.
– Along with the Bundelkhand Expressway, approximately ₹461 crore has been proposed for the Defence Industrial Corridor project. An investment of around ₹9,500 crore is estimated under this.

Key Announcements by the Finance Minister:
– In Uttar Pradesh, talented female students scoring good marks in 12th grade will receive free scooters, following the example of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. This will include students from UP Board and CBSE.
– Youth will be provided interest-free loans. Coaching centers will be established under the Chief Minister Abhyudaya Scheme in all districts for competitive exam students. Every year, 1 lakh new small enterprises will be established.
– Relief will be provided to farmers from stray cattle. A budget of ₹2,000 crore has been allocated for cattle maintenance. Large cattle preservation centers will be established, and cattle tagging will be implemented.
– Four new expressways will be built in the state. A new expressway will be built to connect the Agra Expressway with the Ganga Expressway. Apart from the Bundelkhand-Rewa and Vindhya Expressways, the Ganga Expressway will be extended.
– The Mathura-Vrindavan corridor will be developed.
– In the Mirzapur triangular area, the Parikrama path of the Maa Vindhyavasini Temple, Maa Ashtabhuja Temple, and Maa Kali Koh Temple will be developed.
– A Vedic Science Center will be established in Naimisharanya, Sitapur.
