– Two of these frigates, ‘Tushil’ and ‘Tamal,’ will be directly imported. These ships will be delivered to the Indian Navy by 2025.

– ‘Trikut’ is the first ship constructed by GSL under this plan.
– It is equipped with Russian-made Klub-N anti-ship missiles or the jointly developed BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles by India and Russia.

Six Talwar-Class Frigates Already in the Navy:
– The Indian Navy is already operating six Talwar-class ships: INS Talwar, INS Trishul, INS Tabar, INS Teg, INS Tarkash, and INS Trikand.
