5. Blast at PM’s rally in Japan, narrow escape
– Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida narrowly escaped a bomb blast in the morning of April 15, 2023.
– A blast occurred during his rally caused by a smoke bomb, creating chaos. People started running.
– Security forces immediately escorted the PM to safety.
– Meanwhile, a suspect has been apprehended in connection with the attack.

Assassination took place during Shinzo Abe’s rally 8 months ago.
– Prior to this, on July 8, 2022, former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated during a speech at his rally.
