– The Ministry has directed all participating ministries, departments, organizations, and agencies to begin preparations for this and to regularly update progress.
– The Indian Express has also stated that including women means that there will be maximum representation of women in the parade.
– However, in some marching contingents like the Army’s infantry, women cannot participate.
Nari Shakti was the theme in the 2023 parade
– India had kept ‘Women Power’ as the main theme in the tableau of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Tripura in the 74th Republic Day Parade held on 26 January 2023 this year.
– For the first time, 144 Sailors of a Naval Contingent was led by Lieutenant Commander Disha Amrit.

How do cyclones form?
– Cyclones form when an area of low pressure is created in the sea.
– The question arises as to what constitutes an area of low pressure in the sea and how it is created.
– Global warming is responsible for this.
– When the temperature of the sea rises or, in other words, when the sea begins to heat up, the air above it rises and the surrounding air rushes to fill the vacuum (creating an area of low pressure).
– Since the sea is very large, this process becomes significant in size.
– As the hot air rises and travels upwards, cooler air from surrounding areas rushes in, but as we go higher, the temperature decreases.
– The cooler air also wants to come down, creating a cyclone.
