– India has finally carried out a retaliatory strike against Pakistan’s terrorist organizations.
– The Indian Air Force conducted an air strike at 1:05 AM on the night of May 6-7, targeting locations within Pakistan and POK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir).
– In this attack, 9 terrorist hideouts were targeted.
– Over 100 terrorists were killed in the strike.
– Among the dead was Hafiz Abdul Malik, a commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
– Malik was killed in the air strike at Markaz Tayyaba in Muridke.
– According to a BBC report, Maulana Masood Azhar, the head of Jaish-e-Mohammed, said that 10 of his family members and four close aides were killed in the attack on Subhan Allah Mosque.

Operation Sindoor
– India’s retaliation came 15 days after the Pahalgam attack and has been named “Operation Sindoor”.
– The name is dedicated to the women whose husbands were killed by terrorists in Pahalgam on April 22.

Pakistan: “If India Stops, We Will Stop”
– Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan is capable of defending itself, but if India stops, Pakistan will also stop.
– Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), claimed that India fired 24 missiles.
– News agency ANI, citing sources, reported that Prime Minister Modi monitored Operation Sindoor throughout the night.

Army Press Conference
– The army held a press conference at 10:30 AM after the air strike.
– Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Army Colonel Sophia Qureshi, and Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh shared details of the operation.
– A 2-minute video of the air strike was shown first, displaying Indian military action on terrorist hideouts.
– Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated that the operation took place between 1:05 AM and 1:30 AM.
– Within 25 minutes, 9 targets were identified in Pakistan and POK and were destroyed. Launchpads and training centers were specifically targeted.

India Clarifies – No Strikes on Pakistani Military Bases
– The Indian Army stated that the strikes targeted only terrorist hideouts, not any Pakistani military installations.
– According to news agency ANI, only Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba targets were selected for the operation.

United States: “This is Shameful”
– U.S. President Donald Trump said, “This is shameful. I believe people knew something was going to happen.”
– “They have been fighting for a long time. If you think about it, they have been fighting for decades and centuries.”
– “I hope it ends soon.”

China: India’s Military Action is Regrettable
– On May 7, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed concern over India’s air strike on Pakistan.
– They stated, “India’s military action is unfortunate. We are concerned about the current situation. Both India and Pakistan are our neighbors.”

Colonel Sophia Qureshi – Indian Army
– Colonel Sophia Qureshi, an officer from the Signals Corps, holds several notable achievements, including being the first woman officer to lead an Indian Army contingent in a major multinational military exercise.
– In February and March 2016, then a 35-year-old Lieutenant Colonel, she led a 40-member Indian Army team in a multinational field training exercise.
– The exercise, called Force 18, included ASEAN Plus countries. At that time, it was the largest ground forces exercise ever held on Indian soil and was based on themes of “Humanitarian Mine Action” and “Peacekeeping Operations.”
