– He is a renowned violinist, composer, and music conductor from Karnataka.
– Born on July 23, 1947, he is famous for his fusion work in music.
– He founded the Laxminarayana Global Music Festival.

v) M.T. Vasudevan Nair (Posthumous): Literature and Education: Kerala
– He was a famous Malayalam literary figure.
– He was a novelist, short story writer, screenwriter, and film director.
– He was awarded the Jnanpith Award.
– His novel Kaalam won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1970.
– He was born on July 15, 1933, in Kudallur and passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 91.

vi) Osamu Suzuki (Posthumous): Business and Industry: Japan
– He was the former chairman of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan.
– He passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 94.
– After a banking career, he joined Suzuki Motor in 1958 and gradually advanced, becoming chairman in 1978.
– In the 1980s, Suzuki entered the Indian market, which was underdeveloped for automobiles at the time.
– He invested in the Indian company Maruti, leading to the launch of Maruti Suzuki in 1983.

vii) Sharda Sinha (Posthumous): Art: Bihar
– Famous folk singer Sharda Sinha passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 71.
– She started her singing career in the 1970s, recording folk songs in Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Hindi.
– Her music often highlighted the struggles of women and the migration from Bihar.
– Sharda Sinha is well-known for her folk songs, and her voice was also heard in popular Hindi cinema.
– She is regarded as a cultural ambassador of North India, and during the Chhath festival in Bihar and Purvanchal, her songs are heard in almost every household.
