– The total global military expenditure increased by 3.7% in 2022.
– This is the highest military spending ever recorded worldwide.

Reasons for the increase in military expenditure:
– According to the report, this spending has increased due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
– This conflict led to an approximately 13% increase in defense spending in a single year.
– This is the highest increase seen in the past 30 years.
– It should be noted that due to the war, countries around Russia have also seen a significant increase in their military spending.

Military expenditure of India
– India’s military expenditure in 2022 is 81.4 billion dollars (about 6 trillion rupees).
– This is about 6.0% higher than that of 2021.
– In 2021, India’s military expenditure was 76.6 billion dollars (about 5.86 trillion rupees).
